Jensen Beach Fishing Report 3-29-09

FISHING 3/29/09

Well finally it has settled down after one week of wind gusting to 30 and sea's up to eight foot, the month of March is over.

Off shore the week of south east and east wind should have blown every thing to our door, weed lines, color lines and temp breaks, all the things that hold fish. Put the bally hoo to work, start at the first break you find, slow down let your baits swim. Should find some nice Dolphin and those pesky Sail fish will make you wish that you brought more baits.

Surf anglers this is the month when the bigger Blue fish show and finally you can go the beach and not be blown away. Cut bait and spoons will get their attention and use a smaller hook, still plenty of Spanish Macs in the area. with all the Pompano in the river should be plenty in the surf. The last fish in numbers that was reported were at the beach access's north of the power plant. Pompano like the cleaner water look for a color change and fish that line. but with last report being a week old I might start at Virginia Forest access and go north from there. Yes, the beach is still a little cool for the Snook but then March is over.

The river anglers are still playing with the Pompano from north to south, plenty of them on that yellow jig. The east side of the river has been the location because of the wind , well finally you can fish either side, the catch list is long with every thing from Blue fish to Snook throw in a few Flounder come on down and get a bait wet.
Where is the camera??????????? Henry
