Pier Fishing is Slow

I spoke with fishing piers in boath the Panhandle and Fort Ladurdale areas today. At the Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier in Gulf Breeze, an angler hooked a nice cobia this morning but lost it while trying to land it. Other anglers are catching spanish mackerel on Got-Cha Plugs in the morning. At th Okaloosa Island Pier on Fort Walton Beach, things are a little slow but there customers are catching spanish mackerel on Got-Cha Plugs and double rigs, and pompano on pompano jigs. Along the South East Coast, pier fishing is very slow. Anglin's Fishing Pier in Lauderdale by the Sea, tells me that there customers are catching a few bluefish and some snapper.
