Sebastian Inlet Has Good Variety

I spoke with Whitey's Bait & Tackle near Sebastian Inlet this afternoon. They tell me that there customers are catching a nice variety of fish both inshore and offshore. Inshore the redfish are biting well at night. Live shrimp works well for reds. Whiting and pompano are on the beach. Sand flees, live shrimp, and pompano jigs are the best baits. Snook fishing has been a little slow but will pick up with the full moon on. Wind cheaters and buck tails work great for snook in the inlet. Spanish mackerel are thick on the beach and around the jetty's. Clark spoons or spoon squid in the 0 or 00 size work great for spanish mackerel. Got-Cha plugs also work well. Offshore, dolphin are biting well. Look for floating debris or weed lines to locate dolphin. Sailfish are close to shore. Trolling ballyhoo will catch sailfish. Kingfish to 30lb's are thick offshore. Use a sabiki rig to catch what ever live bait is swimming in the area you will be fishing and troll at least one bait on the surface, one on a downrigger or planer, and your biggest bait in the prop wash.
