I called Hobe Sound Bait & Tackle near Stuart this morning. They tell me that the fishing is excellent! The front affecting the northern half of the state is not expected to reach there until Monday, so the fishing should be good through the weekend. Just about everything is biting. Bluefish, redfish, and snook fishing is very good. Whiting are all over the beach and pompano are every where. Bluefish and spanish mackerel are near shore, and they are catching good numbers of permit offshore. For more information contact;

Jensen Beach
I spoke with Fred at Snook-Nook Discount Bait in Jensen Beach this afternoon. He tells me that overall, the fishing has been good. In the river his customers are catching lots of trout, redfish, and some small snook. Shrimp work best if you want to use live bait, but most of the fish are being caught on split tail jerk baits or plastic shrimp. Beach fishing has also been very good. Fred's customers are reporting lots of bluefish, jacks, spanish mackerel,and whiting. Pompano are a little slow right now, but some larger fish are still being taken from the beach. Sand flees are the best live bait from the beach. Spoons and jigs are the preferred artificials. For more information contact;
