Apalachicola Just Keeps Getting Better

For the record, Capt. Nathan Donahoe did in fact catch several Pompano on his predicted date of March 26th. Then we got one last cold snap that shut them down a bit until April 1st, when the switch got turned to the ON position. It just took me until yesterday to finally get a photo of one to share with you. This past week has been a bit tough with the windy weather we've been blessed with but most of the anglers here on Atlanta's spring break who booked inshore trips with us were able to get out and successfully wet a line. I heard tell that Black Drum are biting well, although many are undersized and the speckled trout are numerous & "Real Purty". Most bayfishing guides have anglers hooking up on a couple redfish a trip and my friend Carol tells me that she caught about a dozen yesterday on gold spoons, earning her husband Mark his guide fee.

The next several weeks we are looking forward to the weather sorting itself out and with Spring Break being over for the most part, there will be less fishing boats on the water. Now is the time to get a trip in as more fish are presenting themselves daily as conditions improve & water temperatures continue to rise. It's just gonna keep getting better folks! Tommy & Chris head home the end of the month to jump right into the fray of fishing for Redfish followed closely by tarpon season. Have you made your reservations yet?

There are many other ramps in Franklin County to choose from while these repairs are being made.
