Focusing their search near lighted docks and structure, Capt John Baty (Forever Hooked Charters) and Capt Jay Schroeder (CJ Flats Saltwater Charters) teamed up this weekend and successfully guided anglers targeting Snook after dark in Tampa Bay. Night time proved to be the right time for more than just Snook.
By-catches of Trout, Redfish, and Mangrove Snapper made for an easy Inshore Slam and were added as tasty treats for the dinner plate. The Snook were stacked tightly around encrusted pilings and near lighted docks. Free-lined Shrimp on a 1.0 Circle Hook outperformed artificial this week. Proper presentation in moving water was also critical to the anglers' success.
