Everglades Fishing Charters Fishing Report May 16/2010

Fishing is Good in the Everglades

red drum

Tarpon are finally here and seem to be the passes, on the flats, along the beaches...everywhere. If you want to catch one of these Big guys, they will put you to your max...sometimes taking up to an hour to land...can you do it or will the tarpon win?

We are also catching nice size redfish, actually at the top of the slot size. These fish are a lot of fun to catch and good to eat also.

Plenty of Trout and some Pompano too. Mackerel are in the 4-6 lb range and put up a good fight.

Snook..did someone say snook..yes we are catching snook of all sizes around the islands.

May is a great time of year and probably one of my favorite months to fish. The summer rains haven't started yet, but they are sure to come....

So come down and let's go fishing, cause the fishing is great and so is the weather.
