These are the new regulations for snook that take effect when the season opens on September 1st. Please take note that the slot limit and bag limit have changed in the Atlantic waters, and the slot limit and closed season have changed in the Gulf, Everglades National Park, and Monroe County.
SEASON
Atlantic waters remains the same. Closed Dec. 15 - Jan. 31st and June - August.
Gulf, Everglades National Park, Monroe County waters. Closed Dec. - February, May - August.
BAG LIMIT
Atlantic waters reduced to 1 fish/day. One fish bag limit is now state wide.
SLOT LIMIT
Atlantic waters, 28" - 32" slot.
Gulf, Everglades National Park, Monroe County waters, 28" - 33" slot.
Also, anglers may now carry more then one cast net aboard a vessel while fishing for snook.
