Dunedin

I spoke with Pat at Dunedin Fishing Center in Dunedin this afternoon. He told me that fishing is slow due to dirty water, but the water is starting to clear and he expects good fishing this weekend. He managed to catch a dozen slot size redfish on Tuesday, and I caught a small snook while fishing upper Tampa Bay on Wednesday night, so there are fish biting. Look for water that is clearer then the surrounding waters. Areas around passes and other fast moving water is usually a good place to look. Baits that give off a cent, (live shrimp with the end of the tail pinched off, fiddler crabs, sand flees, jigs tipped with pieces of shrimp, or Gulp Baits), will improve your hook up rates when fishing dirty water. Also, slow your presentation down so the fish have time to sniff out your bait. For more information contact;
