The one month, Feb.15-March15, closed season for black, gag, and red grouper in federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico is now over. You may keep a 5 fish aggregate of all groupers per person in state and federal waters. No more then 1 red grouper per person may be kept, and this counts as part of the 5 grouper aggregate bag limit.

Black-22" in the Gulf, 24" in the Atlantic and Monroe Co.
Gag- 22"
Red- 20"
NOTE: In the Gulf- Zero daily bag limit for captain and crew of for-hire vessels for black, gag, and red grouper.
Yellowfin-20"
Scamp-16" in Gulf, 20" in Atlantic and Monroe Co.
Non-stainless steel circle hooks are required, along with venting tools and dehooking devices, when angling for reef fish. This will reduce the mortality rate of released fish.
