Big Trout Inside Clearwater

I spoke with Captain Rich Hartman this morning. He was telling me about the outstanding charter he had on Tuesday, fishing the mid Pinellas County intercoastal waterways. Dozens of fish were landed including speckled trout, silver trout, whiting, spanish mackerel, and bluefish. Grass flats in 7' of water are holding most of the fish. All of the fish were caught on Berkley Gulp Alive baits. Many speckled trout were caught. At least six were in the mid 20" range. Suspending the bait over the grass or sand holes produced the most strikes. Freeline your bait or use a float. Large whiting and silver trout are being caught by letting the bait sink to the bottom in dropoffs. For more information contact,
