I spoke with Ken at Master Bait & Tackle in Bonita Springs this morning. He tells me that the fishing is great with a real smorgasbord of fish. In the gulf, spanish mackerel are every where and the king mackerel are under them. Kens customers are also catching cobia and snapper in the gulf and one of his customers hooked four tarpon over 100lb yesterday. In the Intercoastal Waterway, speckled trout fishing is picking up,snook are every where, and there are lots of very big redfish being caught. Large live shrimp and greenbacks are the best baits.
