Today I was talking with Gary at Master Bait & Tackle in Bonita Springs. Gary was telling me that redfish, snook, trout and whiting fishing is hot in Estero Bay. The recent high winds have pushed a lot of floating grass into the bay, so finding clean water is a must. The clean water can be found around the rivers and mangroves of the back bay. Captain Mike Gold Spoons is the bait of choice for reds. Gary had only one report from offshore. Captain Chick Burke, also of Master Bait & Tackle, went out today and caught 5 grouper.
