I spoke with Fishn' Frank's in Port Charlotte today. They were telling me that there are lots of tarpon and lots of sharks in Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grand Pass. A few redfish are being caught in the harbor. Look for them around docks, oyster bars, and mangroves. Live shrimp and gold spoons are good baits. Speckled trout are on the grass flats. Use a popping cork or free line a live shrimp over sand holes in the grass to catch trout. Snook are on the beach. Snook season is closed in the Gulf of Mexico, but these fish are fun to catch and release. For more information contact;
