North Skyway Fishing Pier

I was talking with the North Skyway Fishing Pier in the mouth of Tampa Bay this afternoon. They were telling me that bite was a little slow this afternoon, but with the tide about to change and the cooler evening temperatures setting in, the fish should begin to feed better. Spanish mackerel are still around and feeding well early morning and late afternoon. Got-Cha Plugs and Clark Spoons work well for spanish mackerel. Mango snapper of 16" and better are feeding at night. Greenbacks and shrimp are the best baits. Pier anglers are still catching a good number of grouper. Most are shorts, but there are some keepers being taken each day. Greenbacks are the best bait for grouper. For more information contact;
