Titusville/ Mosquito Lagoon

I spoke with Tom at Doc's Bait & Tackle in Titusville this afternoon. He was telling me that he has not gotten any offshore reports since the winds finally stoped blowing a few days ago. Winds are forecast to be light, and seas calm for the next few days, so offshore fishing should be picking up. He was also telling me that surf fishing is poor due to dirty water. Inshore fishing is good. Speckled trout are every where in 3ft - 4ft of water. The best action is on top water lures early in the morning or on pig fish. Snook season is closed in all of Florida, but there is great catch and release snook action early in the day, and at night, around rocks and at Haullover Canal. The large schools of redfish, (100+ fish), are in the Mosquito Lagoon. They can be caught on live shrimp, mullet, or Berkly Gulp Jerk Shad. For more information contact;
