St.Augustine Fishing is Improving

I spoke with Candice at Oldest City Bait & Tackle in St Augustine this morning. She tells me that fishing has improved since the wind finally stoped blowing four days ago. Surf anglers are catching bluefish, black drum, pompano, and whiting.The blue fish will eat cut mullet fished on the bottom or Got-Cha Plugs. The black drum, pompano, and whiting are being caught on dead shrimp or clams fished on the bottom. Redfish are being caught in and around creeks on mud minnows and live shrimp. Flounder are around docks and are hitting mud minnows. Speckled trout can be caught around dock lights, at night, using shrimp and mud minnows. Sheepshead are around bridges and will hit dead shrimp and clams. For more information contact;
