I spoke with Austin at Doc's Bait & Tackle in Titusville this morning. He was telling me that the bite is good for just about any fish you want to target. Redfish are active in the Indian River Lagoon and the Intercoastal Waterway. Austin has been using artificials exclusively lately with Berkly's 3" Gulp Shrimp in the New Penny color, and the MirrOlure 19MR MirrOminnow being his favorites. Cobia and king mackerel are on the beach out side of Port Canaveral. Marker 8A has been a hot spot. Free line a live pinfish around structure to catch cobia, and troll a ballyhoo with a bright skirt, bluerunner, or other live bait for the kingfish. Bottom fishing in 240 ft of water is very productive. Red grouper and gag grouper are hitting pinfish and croakers fished near structure. Snapper are also biting in the same area. Austin caught a 26lb red snapper last week on a croaker. Amberjack are holding above the structure. A butterfly jig or any live bait will catch amberjack. For more information contact;
