Fort Myers

This morning I spoke with Brian at Shack Bites in Fort Myers. Brian tells me that the fishing is good around Fort Myers. Fishing around bridges, mangroves, and other structure will produce a variety of fish. Right now, huge sheepshead can be caught on sand flees and live shrimp. The redfish are biting well, speckled trout fishing is fair, and the snook are small. Shrimp works well for the reds, trout, and snook. Offshore, Brian is getting reports of lots of grouper and king mackerel. Grouper season is still closed in federal waters of the Gulf through March 15th. For more information contact;
