Mosquito Lagoon

I just got off of the phone with Tom at Doc's Bait & Tackle in Titusville. He was telling me that they are just getting into there peak fishing season and the fishing is great! The redfish schools have broken up, so now is the time to sight cast to individual fish. Gulp Shrimp and live shrimp work best for this. There are a lot of speckled trout around. A live mullet works best for the trout, but the Gulp Shrimp also works well. On the beach, pompano fishing is picking up. Live clams and sand flees are the bait of choice. Tom's customers are also catching there limit of whiting, with a lot of good sized fish being reported. He tells me that the whiting fishing is even better a little farther south. Off of Canaveral, the cobia fishing is good and the snapper fishing is still decent. For more information contact;
