Homosassa

I just got off of the phone with Brad at Mac Rae's Bait House in Homosassa. He was telling me that the fishing is really good. His customers are catching "bunches" of spanish mackerel. There are big schools of mackerel around, so they are concentrating on them right now. There are plenty of other fish to be caught too. Sheepshead, speckled trout, and redfish are all biting very well. Brad has also seen two 30" snook taken in the last week. Offshore the grouper fishing is good with some 20lb fish being taken. Grouper can be found starting around 10 miles out, with the bigger fish coming from 20 - 25 miles offshore. For more information contact;
