Titusville

I spoke with Tom at Doc's Bait & Tackle in Titusville today. He was telling me that the fishing is good in spite of the strong winds that have plagued the area for the last ten days. Offshore fishing has been shut down due to the winds, but you can still find plenty of pompano on the beaches. In the Mosquito Lagoon, there are plenty of redfish available. The Berkley shrimp and large live shrimp are the best baits for reds. Black drum can be caught around bridges using whole live blue crabs, or cut pieces of blue crabs. Shrimping has really picked up over the last week. Use a dip net or box net from area bridges to catch shrimp. He also wanted me to mention that he FLW Redfish Series Tournament is in Titusville this weekend. For more information contact;
