Fort Walton Beach

I just spoke with Brooks Bridge Bait & Tackle in Fort Walton Beach. They tell me that the fishing is pretty good with just about every thing biting well. Redfish can be found around docks and black drum will be at the bridges. Shrimp or cut bait works best for the reds, crabs are best for the black drum. Sheepshead will be around bridge pylons, docks, and other structure. Clams and barnacles are good baits for sheepshead. Spanish mackerel are in the bay. Got-Cha Plugs or Clark Spoons will catch spanish mackerel. Speckled trout are on drop offs. Shrimp on pinfish are good baits for trout. Offshore fishing is also good. King mackerel and spanish mackerel can be caught by trolling live bait. Use what ever bait is swimming in the area you are fishing. Red snapper and trigerfish are on local wrecks. Pinfish and cut bait will catch red snapper and trigerfish. For more information contact;
