Titusville Trout and Black Drum

I spoke with Tom at Doc's Bait & Tackle in Titusville today. He was telling me that there are lots of large pompano in the surf. Sand flees are the best bait followed by shrimp. Good numbers of small to medium sized black drum are being taken at area bridges. These are the good eating sized drum and can be caught on blue crabs. Use the crab live and whole or break the crabs in half to save some money on bait.The extra large speckled trout the area is famous for have moved into the Intracoastal Waterway. Tom tells me that they are not taking the Berkley Gulp Baits as well as they have been, so stick with live shrimp. In area lakes, bass are very active. Live shiners or Zoom Horny Toad baits will catch bass. For more information contact;
