Sebastian Inlet

I was talking with Tom at Inlet Bait & Tackle near Sebastian Inlet this afternoon. He tells me that the fishing has slowed some since last week but is still very good. Bluefish, redfish and spanish mackerel are biting well out on the jetty's. Silver mullet and spoons are working well on blues, reds, and spanish on the out going tide. The reds are also biting well on shrimp. Strong winds have made fishing from the beach tough, but when the winds lay down look for great pompano action in the surf. Anglers are catching a few nice pompano from the jetty's. Tom is seeing several 3lb - 4lb pompano a day being caught on sand flees, shrimp, and pompano jigs. With the new moon being on Wednesday, snook fishing should be very good. They will take regular sized shrimp during the day, and shallow diving plugs or flair jigs at night. Big jacks are also cruising through the inlet. Large spoons and big noisy plugs will get these big bruisers attention. For more information contact;
